About Chrysalis Surgery
Our story
Chrysalis Surgery was founded in 2026 on a conviction that had been building across more than two decades of surgical practice: that transgender and non-binary patients deserve a team built entirely around them, not borrowed time on a generalist's schedule. Dr. David N. Sayah, MD — board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a published researcher with 26 years of surgical experience — created Chrysalis as the only Beverly Hills boutique practice where every surgeon focuses exclusively on gender-affirming procedures. Not a generalist who occasionally performs these surgeries. A specialist team, assembled with a single purpose.
That distinction shapes everything about how Chrysalis operates. From your first consultation to your final follow-up, you are cared for by surgeons who have devoted their careers to understanding trans anatomy, trans outcomes, and the full weight of what this surgery means to the person on the table. The practice was deliberately designed to be intimate rather than institutional — a private, discreet setting in Beverly Hills where your care never feels like a transaction and your privacy is never an afterthought. There are no crowded waiting rooms, no fragmented referrals, no moments where you wonder whether the person across from you truly sees you.
What makes Chrysalis rare is not just the setting or the credentials — it is the completeness. Face, top, bottom, body, and spa services exist under one roof, coordinated by a team that speaks to one another and to you. Patients traveling from out of state or internationally arrive knowing that their full journey — surgical, aesthetic, and personal — is held together by people who chose this work, and only this work. That is what Chrysalis was built to be. A place where transformation is taken seriously, because the people who seek it always have been.
